Easter Sunday
17 April- Luke 24: 1-12
“The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.” Luke 24:7
On such a special day, we celebrate life, we happily celebrate the triumph of light over darkness and we can affirm that Christ is not dead, he lives. On this day full of joy, the Word of God reminds us that the promises and prophecies of the same god are powerfully fulfilled at the right time.
With joy, these women went to announce the Good News, and in the same way, we are called to be announcers of the good news of peace and salvation. We can say for sure today, that justice wins over injustice, and that everything we have seen in this world will be transformed, according to what was promised by our Lord Jesus Christ.
May the Holy Spirit fulfills us with gifts and grace, so we keep announcing the good news of love, peace, reconciliation and justice. We pray that we can be like those women and believe in your work, live by your Gospel of love and thus be able to be disciples of the living and reigning God.
